"During company-wide safety surveys, each employee is provided an anonymous platform to express how our corporate safety initiatives affect them directly. Each and every comment is reviewed by our leadership team and direct and immediate action is taken in response to issues, comments, concerns, and questions raised by our employees. No voice is overlooked nor concern downplayed. We are 100% committed to a safety culture, and that starts and ends with valuing every voice and taking action as a result."

Getting to know your teammates and helping them find their place within the team is the best way to help each other feel valued and heard. The way I demonstrate my commitment to valuing every voice is to getting to know the person behind the voice, putting myself in their shoes, and help them get to where they want to be."

"By taking the time to make sure I'm doing my part, but staying aware and humble enough to make corrections or adjustments if they are brought to my attention, regardless of who it is that raises concerns. But also, by being willing to speak up and use my own voice to help someone else, even if it is intimidating or overwhelming. It is always more important that everyone goes home healthy and safe to their lives outside of the jobsite."

"Ensuring the safety and well-being of every individual on our construction site is our top priority, and this commitment extends to valuing every voice in our workplace. We operate under an open-door policy, where employees are encouraged to voice their concerns, suggestions, or ideas at any time. Regular job wide meetings provide a platform for transparent communication, ensuring that updates are shared, questions are answered, and any safety-related issues are addressed promptly. Additionally, we offer diverse feedback channels, including anonymous suggestion boxes and one-on-one meetings, to accommodate varying comfort levels and preferences. Upholding a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment further reinforces our dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive work environment where every voice is respected. Furthermore, investing in comprehensive training and development programs ensures that every employee is equipped with the knowledge and skills to prioritize safety in all aspects of their work. By actively supporting the formation of employee resource groups and providing opportunities for advancement, we celebrate the diversity of perspectives and experiences within our workforce. Through these initiatives, we not only demonstrate our unwavering commitment to safety but also recognize the invaluable contributions of each individual towards the success of our multi-billion dollar project."

"Upon the seas of labor's strife, where men do toil and sweat, Where hammer clangs and saws do bite, in building's wild duet, 'Tis there where I, a pirate bold, do sail upon the waves, Of workplace discourse, truth be told, where every voice behaves. To value each and every soul, upon this site of might, Be they seasoned vet or greenest troll, I hold this truth in sight. For in the symphony of sounds, from scaffold to the ground, Each voice, each thought that here abounds, in unity is found.I listen close to every tale, each word that's brought to me, From those who weld, and those who nail, from dawn 'til evening's spree. For in their tales lies wisdom vast, of trials and of feats, Each word a ship's sail in the blast, each voice a heart that beats.I walk the planks of work's domain, with ears attuned to all, From carpenter to crane refrain, I answer every call. For every voice, though soft or loud, holds keys to treasure troves, In unity, our ship is proud, with every voice it roves.I honor those who raise their voice, with tales of fear or cheer, Their words not lost in all the noise, but held most precious here. For in the cacophony of clangs, where steel and wood do meet, Each voice a song that sweetly hangs, in labor's grand deceit.I hold no bias, hold no creed, in this workplace so grand, For every soul has what they need, to shape this fertile land. Be they new recruit or captain bold, their voices sing the same, In unity, our ship takes hold, and charts its noble aim.I offer counsel, lend an ear, to those who seek my aid, For every voice I hold most dear, in unity displayed. I foster trust, I build rapport, with all who share this space, For every voice is to the fore, in this construction race.I stand against injustice's might, with sword and shield in hand, For every voice, in truth's bright light, deserves to take a stand. I fight for fairness, fight for right, in this workplace so grand, For every voice, in day or night, helps shape this fertile land.I lead by example, set the tone, for all to follow true, For every voice, when fully grown, brings strength to our crew. I treat each soul with dignity, with respect and with care, For every voice, both you and me, has dreams beyond compare. So in this realm of labor's might, where men do toil and sweat, Where hammer clangs and saws do bite, in building's wild duet, I pledge allegiance to the cause, of valuing each voice, For in unity, our ship still draws, its strength from every choice."

"I think I try to do this in a lot of ways. For one, I try to cater to the people around me - I like to get to know them to see if they'd be more comfortable sharing in a public setting like a meeting, or privately such as in a 1 on 1 conversation. Those who are comfortable sharing openly in group settings are the people who I actually ask to share in meetings with the whole team. On the other hand, I do my best to use my own voice as a speaker box for the ideas or concerns of those who aren't as comfortable opening up in a group setting (after asking them if it's okay to share the idea or concern and maintaining anonymity if they so desire, of course). I hope that this gives everyone the opportunity to hear and be heard, and to feel heard, so they don't feel like their idea is unsupported or their question remains unanswered. Also, I realize at the end of the day I may not be able to control if and how others make space to give a more reserved person the floor, I can absolutely be the one to do it, so I make a point of it. Lastly and maybe one of my favorite things to do, I always encourage the idea of brainstorming as a time for EVERY idea and thought, no matter how wild or bad it might sound in your head. If I feel like the room is quiet with apprehension about having a so-called bad idea, I will throw an extreme idea out just to shake the tree, maybe even get a laugh, and help other people feel more comfortable about their own ideas. I think making the conversation feel comfortable and accepting and even making it fun or entertaining really goes a long way to encourage open dialog and communication. "

"Everybody is different and thinks differently. By listening to every voice you can hear everybody's unique ideas and use bits and pieces from all the provided information given to create the safest environment possible. Creativity is not only in those in creative roles nor is strategic thinking only used in strategic roles. You may listen to a terrible idea that has one spec of gold in it that you may implement into someone else's great idea that might just have a couple hole in it. By listening to every voice you can better fill out a plan or idea and make sure every single aspect or perspective is covered. "
