American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC)
The ASCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of concrete contractors and those who build with concrete, and to providing them a unified voice in the construction industry. Members include concrete contractors and contracting firms, manufacturers, suppliers and others interested in the concrete industry such as architects, engineers and educators. The ASCC is one of the largest concrete associations with approximately 500 member companies in the United States and abroad.
Founded in 1911, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the world’s oldest professional safety society. ASSE promotes the expertise, leadership and commitment of its members, while providing them with professional development, advocacy and standards development. It also sets the occupational safety, health and environmental community’s standards for excellence and ethics.
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association representing nearly 21,000 chapter members. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 70 chapters help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically, profitably and for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors.

Construction Coalition for a Drug- and Alcohol-Free Workplace
The Construction Coalition for a Drug- and Alcohol-Free Workplace (CCDAFW) was created with the purpose of providing companies and organizations with the resources necessary to successfully implement an effective substance abuse policy. The Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT) is exclusively composed of approximately 100 CEOs from the leading architectural, engineering and construction firms doing business in the United States.
CIRT is the only organization that is uniquely situated as a single voice representing the richly diverse and dynamic design/construction community. First organized in 1987 as the Construction Industry President’s Forum, the Forum has since been incorporated as a not-for-profit association with the mission “to be a leading force for positive change in the design / construction industry while helping members improve the overall performance of their individual companies.
The Construction Users Roundtable® was founded by – and is driven by – many of the largest and most successful construction owners in the United States to provide the global industry a strong, singular voice to help owners effect positive, meaningful change and improvements.
Council for Dredging & Marine Construction Safety (CDMCS)
The Council represents a joint effort of the dredging and marine construction industry to collectively improve Industry safety standards. As a non-profit partnership designed to facilitate dialogue on dredging and marine construction issues and offering additional information concerning safety. CDMCS is a leader in safety with a diverse membership supporting the nation’s economy and well being workers nationwide.
As the national non-profit trade association for the dredging industry, the Dredging Contractors of America (DCA) provides a full range of association services to its member companies. DCA represents the industry on key issues before Congress and is an active partner to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, public port authorities, state and local governments, as well as allied construction and maritime organizations.
Lean Construction Institute (LCI) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1997. The Institute operates as a catalyst to transform the industry through Lean project delivery using an operating system centered on a common language, fundamental principles, and basic practices.

The National Electrical Contractors Association is the voice of the $130 billion electrical construction industry that brings power, light, and communication technology to buildings and communities across the U.S. NECA’s national office in Bethesda, Md., four regional offices, and 119 local chapters across the country support the electrical contracting industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development.
OSHA offers a wide selection of training courses and educational programs to help broaden worker and employer knowledge on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces. OSHA also offers training and educational materials that help businesses train their workers and comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
We began in 2006 as the Greater Portland Construction Partnership (GPCP), a nonprofit organization with a mission of transforming workplace cultures to achieve incident-free construction projects. In 2013, GPCP became the SafeBuild Alliance, and we remain true to our roots and dedicated to achieving incident-free workplaces.
Today, SafeBuild Alliance members represent all sectors of the construction industry including general contractors, subcontractors, owners, public and private entities, design professionals, architects, engineers, construction affiliated organizations and companies, building and construction trade associations, industry vendors and insurers.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) serves the unique needs of approximately 2,500 firms involved in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the U.S. federal agency that conducts research and makes recommendations to prevent worker injury and illness.
NIOSH research is key to these efforts and provides practical solutions to identified problems. The Institute’s work in this area protects the safety and health of the nation’s 155 million workers.
