In May, the Gillam Group and the League of Champions honored Construction Safety Week’s theme, Strong Voices, Safe Choices. Employees were encouraged to engage in a variety of activities focused on learning and facilitating deeper conversations on safety. Craig Lesurf, president at Gillam Group, chair of the League of Champions and the Ontario General Contractors Association’s safety committee, emphasizes the significance of building a culture of safety and committing to that culture every day of the year.
City Biz | Local High School Tours Tysons Construction Site During Annual Construction Safety Week
As part of Construction Safety Week 2023, Skanska welcomed local high school students from the ACE Mentor Program on a tour of The Heming, a construction project in Tysons, VA. Led by Skanska’s Senior Project Manager, Brittany Otis, the tour highlighted the company’s commitment to safety while inspiring students to pursue a career in the industry.
